Senior Healthcare Associate at Pride Health

Pride Health is hiring a Floater Phlebotomist to support our client’s medical facility based in Cincinnati, OH 45237. This is a 02‑03 month assignment (possibility of extension or conversion) opportunity and a great way to start working with a top‑tier healthcare organization!

Duration
: 02‑03 months Contract (possibilities of extension)/Contract to hire

Shift
: fluctuating hours Monday‑Friday 6:30a.m.

-8:00p.m. EST with rotational Saturday 7:30a.m.

-1:00p.m. EST

Pay rate
: $26–28/hr (W2). Pay rate based on experience and educational qualifications.

Mileage reimbursement
: $0.70 per mile from base work location to float location.

We are seeking a skilled Phlebotomist to join our team. The primary responsibility of this role is to assist in performing a variety of duties, including blood draws, specimen collection, and ensuring accurate specimen labeling and processing. Additionally, troubleshooting, training, and making workflow recommendations are integral parts of the position.

Job Responsibilities
  • Draw quality blood samples from patients and prepare specimens for lab testing while following established practices and procedures.
  • Engage with patients to create an atmosphere of trust and confidence while explaining procedures and drawing blood specimens skillfully, safely, and accurately.
  • Provide coverage at multiple locations for multiple roles, ensuring that daily activities of the Patient Service Center, Mobile, Long‑Term Care, and In‑Office Phlebotomy are completed accurately and on time.
  • Demonstrate leadership behaviors with a focus on process excellence, confidentiality, and patient information accuracy.
  • Work and direct daily activity in a doctor's office, a patient service center, house‑call environment, long‑term care, or other settings as business needs dictate.
  • Step in for a Phlebotomist III‑Float and lead one or more PSR on site when required.
  • Act as coach, mentor, instructor, and resource advisor for new employees, providing effective onboarding services and serving as point of contact for staff on site.
  • Collaborate with Sales, Laboratory Testing Services, IT connectivity, Billing, and Logistics for high‑complexity and/or high‑volume practices requiring specialized phlebotomy and communication skills.
  • Handle multiple priorities in a high‑volume setting.
Minimum Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Medical training: medical assistant or paramedic training preferred.
  • Phlebotomy certification preferred; required in California, Nevada, and Washington.
Work Experience
  • Five years of phlebotomy experience required, inclusive of pediatric, geriatric, and capillary collections.
  • Minimum three years in a PSC/IOP environment preferred.
  • Customer service experience in a retail or service environment preferred.
