Rep, Mobile Examiner - (P/T) - Exam One/Cincinnati, OH area
Under the direction of the Branch Manager or Field Leader, the Mobile Examiner’s primary responsibility is to provide coverage in the field ensuring that mobile exams are completed accurately, on time, and in a safe, professional environment. The role involves performing all aspects of an exam, including specimen collection and processing, and may include coaching, mentoring, and training new employees who have completed the required phlebotomy program.
Responsibilities- Ensures all specimens are collected accurately and on time.
- Collects specimens according to established procedures.
- Conducts in‑center exams and mobile exams, taking vitals, medical histories, venipuncture, urine collection, and EKG; also collects specimens for pre‑employment drug screenings and other Quest Diagnostics services.
- Completes application packets and all related paperwork accurately.
- Labels, centrifuges, and splits specimens as required by test orders.
- Uploads and completes cases in the portal within 24 hrs on weekdays and within 48 hrs on weekends.
- Packs specimens for transport and ships to the designated lab.
- Safely and timely transports specimens, supplies, equipment, and materials to the appropriate destination.
- Maintains daily specimen records and supports record deletion when directed by management.
- Submits original paperwork to the destination.
- Provides customer service to clients.
- Follows the current Examiner’s Manual and all departmental policies, protocols, and procedures.
- Maintains all appropriate phlebotomy logs and keeps error rate below 3 %.
- Confirms exams with clients the day before appointment and status the case at time of confirmation.
- Corrects non‑applicant errors within 24 hrs.
- Submits accurate time, travel, and expense logs as directed by management.
- Properly clocks in and out for work assignments.
- Demonstrates organizational commitment and adheres to grooming, dress code, and lab coat policies.
- Wears company‑issued identification badge at all times during assignments.
- Reports to work on time and follows attendance guidelines.
- Answers the telephone in a friendly, professional manner.
- Communicates appropriately with customers, agents, applicants, coworkers, and the general public.
- Communicates unresolved problems immediately to the appropriate manager or supervisor.
- Maintains polite and courteous demeanor at all times.
- Ensures work areas are neat, clean, and in good repair; reports required repairs.
- Assists with inventory counts, reports shortages, and restocks supplies as needed.
- Provides supply orders as specified by the Branch Manager.
- Works effectively with staff to ensure compliance with dress code, EHS & QA requirements, and SOPs.
- Performs other departmental clerical duties when assigned.
- Answers phone and dispatch calls when assigned.
- Participates in team projects and special projects when asked.
- Assists with the implementation of SOPs for examiner services.
- Acts as a mentor and resource for new employees under guidance of manager or supervisor.
- Distributes technical information and communications to the work group.
- Travels flexibly (up to 25 mi radius) and works flexible hours; keeps availability dates in Examview.
- Uses company i‑pad or specified electronic device.
- Completes all other duties as assigned within the scope of the position.
- Minimum 100 documented successful blood draws.
- Minimum one year of phlebotomy experience; experience with pediatric and geriatric patients is a plus.
Experience with urine or hair follicle collection and EKG.

- Flexible availability for staffing needs; weekends, holidays, and overtime may be required, including on‑call duties.
- Valid driver license with clean driving record and access to dependable/insured transportation.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Good organization, communication, and interpersonal skills to manage patient and employee concerns professionally.
- Basic computer skills in Microsoft Office; ability to learn new software.
- Decision‑making based on established procedures; seeks supervisor guidance when appropriate.
- Ability to work in a rapidly changing environment.
High School Diploma or Equivalent.
Licenses & CertificationsPhlebotomy or Medical Assistant certification.
