Pharmacy Technician

Bernens Convalescent Pharmacy, Inc. is seeking an Ohio Certified Pharmacy Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will be a hard-working individual capable of multi-tasking in a fast-paced environment while adhering to Ohio and Federal regulations. This person will assist the pharmacist as a retail technician and front-end sales associate. This job includes prescription input, answering calls from patients, and filling orders all while executing Ohio and Federal Law.

• Answer incoming calls from patients, physicians, and nurses.
• Assist patients in the store by providing excellent customer service and addressing inquiries regarding medications and services.
• Prepare and fill medication orders accurately and efficiently.
• Ensure adherence to safety protocols and quality standards.
• Accurately enter and process prescription orders in RX30 and our computer system.
• Ensure all patient information is correct and up to date.
• Process payments (cash, credit, and insurance) and provide excellent customer service to retail customers.
• Execute all pharmacy operations in compliance with Ohio and Federal laws, including maintaining proper documentation and record-keeping.
• Maintain accurate and organized patient records, ensuring confidentiality and compliance with HIPAA regulations, and assist with audits as needed.
• Assist in managing inventory levels, including ordering and restocking medications and supplies as needed.
• Track expiration dates.
• Work closely with pharmacists and other pharmacy staff to ensure seamless workflow and patient care.
• Collaborate with other departments such as delivery, billing, and equipment to help service our patients.

• Valid Ohio Certified Pharmacy Technician license.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to multitask and prioritize effectively in a busy environment.
• Previous experience in a pharmacy setting is preferred.
• Clean criminal background check.
• Pre-hire and random drug and alcohol screening (12 panel screen including THC).
• Proficiency in using computer systems.

Our hours of operation are Monday - Friday 9am- 7pm, Saturday 9am-5pm, Sunday 9am-1pm. Closed on all major holidays.
