Acute Care Pharmacy Technician

Job Description

Pharmacy technicians assist pharmacists in preparing and distributing medications, maintaining the drug inventory, and maintaining patient records. Pharmacy technicians work only under the supervision of a registered pharmacist. They do not perform duties that can legally be performed by only a registered pharmacist. In addition to responsibilities for a Tech I, Pharmacy Technician II demonstrates a high level of initiative and motivation along with competency in a specialized area(s) of the department.

Pay Rate Ranges from $22/hr - $25/hr, based on experience

Education:

required High School Diploma or GED

Certified - If not, must be willing to get within 6 months of hire (PTCB Certification); 1-3 years inpatient experience preferred
