  • Location: Cincinnati, OH 45236 (Ohio healthcare jobs)
  • Setting: Women's Health Center & Mobile Mammography Vans
  • Shifts: Day shifts (8-hour: 6:30a–3p, 7a–3:30p, 7:30a–4p);
    Mobile van shifts: 9–10 hours (6:45a–4p)
  • Hours per Week: 36
  • Employment Type: Travel/Contract healthcare position

  • Estimated Weekly Pay: $1830 – $1970
Mammography Technologist Qualifications
  • Minimum 1 year of experience as a registered Mammography Technologist or Radiologic Technologist
  • ARRT Certification and Registration in Mammography (preferred upon hire or required within six months)
  • State of Ohio Radiologic Technologist License (preferred or as required by Ohio regulations)
  • BLS (Basic Life Support) certification from the American Heart Association (required)
  • Associate's degree from an ARRT-accredited radiologic technology program (preferred)
  • Experience with screening and diagnostic mammograms; knowledge of quality control (QC) procedures
  • Stereotactic breast biopsy experience preferred
  • Ability to work independently and rotate on mobile mammography vans
Healthcare Responsibilities – Mammography Tech
  • Perform high-quality screening, diagnostic, and invasive breast imaging, including DEXA scans, following ARRT, ACR, and MQSA guidelines
  • Operate Hologic 3D and GE Pristina 3D mammography units and mobile mammography equipment
  • Assist radiologists in invasive breast procedures, ensuring aseptic technique and proper patient consent
  • Document and communicate patient clinical history to healthcare providers and radiologists
  • Select appropriate radiographic technique and exposure factors for optimal breast imaging results
  • Apply principles of radiation protection and patient safety throughout all mammography procedures
  • Educate patients and provide clear discharge instructions regarding breast imaging and follow-up care
  • Participate in departmental quality assessment and improvement initiatives for mammography services
  • Float between women's health center and mobile mammography units as needed (once or twice a week)
