Medical Assistant II - MOB 401 Pulmonary Med - Full Time - Days

Assists in examination and treatment of patients under direction of physician. Maintains patient flow during clinic hours, documents review of systems, measures vital signs, records patient information in EMR, and may assist in training new employees. Prepares patient charts, refills medications, maintains treatment rooms, operates EKG and cardiac monitors, performs phlebotomy and cast removal as assigned. Maintains safe work environment, follows legal regulations, protects patient information confidentiality.

• High school diploma or equivalent;
  Associate Degree and/or Certified/Registered MA preferred.
• 2 to 5 years of medical assisting experience, preferably in primary or specialty care.
• Excellent computer skills (Microsoft Outlook, Excel, EMR, scheduling systems).
• Strong verbal and social skills to work respectfully with patients, physicians, and coworkers.
• Knowledge of phlebotomy, EKG, stich removal, splinting is highly preferred.
• BLS certification required;
  Certified/Registered MA preferred.

Must successfully complete skills orientation. Complementary clinical skills such as phlebotomy, performing EKGs, stitches removal, splinting, etc. are highly preferred.
