Position: Psychologist / Therapist

Ruah Woods Psychological Services (RWPS) has multiple openings for psychologists, counselors, and mental health therapists eligible for licensure in Ohio.

RWPS is the healing branch of Ruah Woods Institute, developer of the world’s first K‑12 Theology of the Body Curriculum. The mission of RWPS is to integrate the best of psychological science and the truths of the Catholic faith to empower men and women to more fully embrace and live out their vocation to love.

Opportunities include a satellite office just north of Dayton expanding in spring/summer 2026, where we are seeking LPCs supervised by Alex Wallace, LPCC‑S. We are also in the early stages of opening another satellite office elsewhere in Ohio and are looking for a full‑time mental health professional to lead this office and potentially others. Our main office will expand in 2027, and we are hiring multiple mental health professionals to keep up with demand for our faith‑informed services.

Priorities
  • Providers to help conduct psychological evaluations of men and women applying to seminary or religious life. Ideal candidate would be a psychologist with solid training in psychological testing.
  • Therapists (any license) trained or willing to be trained in treatment of sexual addiction and betrayal trauma.
  • Therapists (any license) skilled at working with trauma, couples, children, and/or families from a faith‑informed perspective.
Additional characteristics and qualifications
  • Extensive knowledge of and formation in Catholic anthropology, morality, spirituality.
  • Life‑long learner with a passion for professional excellence and ongoing growth.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Collaborative, engaged team member who seeks the good of others.
  • Highly motivated self‑starter.
  • Strong commitment to practice according to current ethical and legal standards.

All new hires will work collaboratively on a team of mental health professionals who are actively pursuing professional excellence and increasingly infusing their work with the truths of the Catholic faith. Salary will be competitive and commensurate with training and experience. Ruah Woods offers a generous benefits package including relocation assistance if needed.
