As a Cloud Support Engineer Senior, you will provide a broad and experienced range of technical support services for cloud-based applications supporting Treasury and other FRB stakeholders, utilizing deep technical knowledge for all supported systems and tech stacks. You will support the Dev Tooling shared service, which provides a suite of 13 development and deployment tools (e.g., Git Lab, JFrog, Jira, Confluence, Sonar Qube) hosted in AWS.

• Plan and execute own activities with minimal guidance; provide experienced technical assistance and operational support for a suite of application development and deployment tools hosted within AWS. Work is generally reviewed for completeness.

• Interact directly with users (e.g., developers) to resolve complex system and technical issues within the Dev Tooling services. Coordinate with stakeholders and other teams for third-level support, monitoring, tuning, troubleshooting, and maintenance procedures.

• Maintain software currency and vulnerability management for Dev Tooling services, including regular upgrades and patches following standard SDLC processes.

• Provide rotational 24x7 on-call support as needed, with guidance for other team members on critical production issues. Perform data analysis, capacity planning, and contingency execution.

• Collaborate with Dev Ops Engineers to understand software products and potential enhancements; advise on the impact of development on infrastructure and define changes to configuration settings.

• Serve as subject matter expert for Dev Tooling services with minimal supervision, focusing on preventing and resolving availability and performance issues; work with users to resolve system technical issues.

• Manage and administer the AWS cloud environment with little supervision (provisioning, configuration, performance monitoring, policy governance, security). Create standards for large-scale distributed systems emphasizing operability.

• Identify operational metrics and data needs; test and ensure infrastructure components meet performance and capacity standards. Collaborate with SRE to implement dashboards, bots, and automation; evaluate improvements.

• Provide knowledge sharing, coaching, and feedback to team members; lead complex assignments requiring cross-engineer coordination; devise and execute plans to improve individual and team performance.

• Associate degree and 7 years related experience OR

• Bachelor’s degree and 5 years related experience OR

• Master’s degree and 3 years related experience

• Advanced baseline knowledge of AWS Cloud Platform technologies, infrastructure, and practices supporting production operations (e.g., Cloud Watch, Cloud Trail, ECS, Lambda, Canaries, Dynamo
  
  DB, RDS, Postgre
  
  SQL, S3, API Gateway, Elastic Load Balancer, Open Search, Grafana, AWS X-Ray, SQS, FIS).

• Familiarity with administration of Git Lab, JFrog, Sonar Qube, and Atlassian suite (Jira, Confluence, Bamboo, Bitbucket).

• Experience supporting production operations using Git Lab, Terraform (preferred), Grafana, Open Search, Docker, CI/CD pipelines, and version control.

• Proficiency in coding languages such as Python, Go, Node.js, .NET, Java;
  Infrastructure as Code, Configuration as Code, Alerts and Monitoring as Code.

• Strong Linux experience (e.g., CentOS), Bash scripting, and ability to write, debug, and optimize scripts for automation and administration.
