The OT Team Lead is responsible for planning, designing, and delivering significant portions of complex Operational Technology (OT) systems with minimal supervision. This role leads the configuration, implementation, testing, and documentation of OT solutions, including servers, networks, hardware, and software, requiring advanced technical expertise across multiple IT and OT disciplines. The OT Team Lead serves as a technical leader and project contributor, working under a Project Manager on larger initiatives while leading smaller projects and start-up efforts directly.
In addition to hands‑on technical responsibilities, this position provides leadership through team oversight, training, mentoring, quality assurance, and onboarding, while supporting project estimating, job financial management, and departmental direction. The role requires availability for after‑hours support, on‑site system startup oversight, customer training, and the ability to handle sensitive customer information with discretion.

- Planning and design of significant portions of OT systems with minimal supervision.
- Configuration, implementation, testing and documentation of an OT system which may include setup of one or more parts of the overall system. This would include Server and PC machine setup, Network Setup, Hardware Setup, and Software Setup, and thus could require an advanced knowledge of IT skills in several areas as listed below.
- Maintains confidentiality on potentially sensitive customer information.
- Available for after hours support
- Ability to troubleshooting and support OT hardware, software, and networks.
- Oversees the installation and start‑up of an OT system on a customer's site, as well as supervises the start‑up team while on site.
- Oversees in‑house and in‑plant customer operator training for the OT system.
- Responsible for monitoring quality of programmer's work and adhering to programming standards. Also is the technical leader on assigned projects.
- Takes a lead in the training of other OT employees in the department.
- Performs the duties of Project Manager on small projects.
- Performs technical design and helps Estimating Team on assigned projects.
- Performs other duties as assigned or required by leadership.

- Understands and manages job financials and setting up new jobs
- Assists Leadership Team to define department and company direction

Education and/or
Experience:
2 or 4-year degree in Information Technology, Network/Systems Administration or Computer Science or a related technical field, 5-7 years' experience in Information Technology and ground up system design configuration or equivalent combination of education and related experience/training. Must have at least two years' experience as a Systems Analyst, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
