We are seeking an Application Systems Specialist (Technical Analyst) to assist in the day-to‑day support and managing of middleware, vendor applications, business applications, and Dev Ops process. You will assist in the day-to‑day operations of supporting application development staff and line of business customers. The Application Systems Specialist will have contact with all levels of personnel, both within and outside of the company.

• Participate in monitoring and support of all systems and applications assigned to the department.
• Provide “swat team” style support to development projects, by resolving problems of a base complexity, technical nature. Helps projects remain on track with very aggressive schedules.
• Participate in managing software application deployments following department’s Dev Ops standards.
• Assist in developing Power Shell and other scripts to support the management of systems, applications, and the Dev Ops process.
• Assist in developing SQL scripts to support the management of data.
• Assist in developing standards/guidelines that influence implementation of existing and new technologies throughout development staff.
• Functions as a coordinator of activities within and between programming departments and/or between operating departments and programming departments.
• Provide intermediate technical and problems analysis for Windows, Linux, middleware and applications.

• Bachelor's Degree or comparable selection criteria experience.
• Demonstrated experience setting goals and successfully implementing and achieving goals. Cite examples of seeking to improve business and technical processes.
• Demonstrated experience effectively handling customers and providing excellent service.
• Demonstrated experience working effectively within a team. Cite examples of motivating co-workers in difficult situations.
• Intermediate knowledge of Windows and Linux server management and support.
• Intermediate knowledge of HTTP Server (IIS, Apache) installation, management and support.
• Knowledge of managing deployments with Azure Dev Ops or similar systems.
• Knowledge of Active Directory and LDAP.
• Intermediate knowledge of Web Sphere (Traditional and Liberty) installation, management and support.
• Intermediate knowledge of Power Shell and SQL scripting.
