What You’ll Do
GENERAL FUNCTION:
Lead Agilists typically have at least 5 years of full-time business experience and 3 years of Scrum experience. They support Agile Squads by ensuring understanding and application of Agile and Scrum values and principles. They observe team dynamics, identify needs, and intervene accordingly. They promote team growth, facilitate discussions, and guide teams to deliver value effectively. They embody agility through servant leadership, foster trust, facilitate Scrum events, and coach teams and stakeholders in Agile practices.
They help teams improve continuously using data and feedback, and leverage knowledge from other Agile frameworks to enhance team success. They model collaborative and open behavior, promote a learning mindset, and ensure actions align with organizational and customer needs, managing risks proactively.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: None
MINIMUM KNOWLEDGE SKILLS & ABILITIES:
- 5+ years of full-time business experience
- 3+ years of Scrum experience
- Excellent communication, mentoring, and facilitation skills
- Conflict resolution and mediation abilities
- Ability to foster trust, promote innovation, and build strong teams
- Bachelor's degree in relevant fields or equivalent experience

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Deep understanding of Scrum and agility principles
- Building high-performing teams with continuous improvement
- Using empirical data for decision-making
- Mentoring and facilitating at all organizational levels
- Knowledge of software development lifecycle and Agile practices (CI/CD, TDD, etc.)
- Familiarity with other Agile frameworks (Kanban, XP, Mob programming, etc.)
- Leading by example, removing impediments, and fostering self-organization
- Escalating impediments when necessary
- Facilitating communication and collaboration within and outside the Agile Squad
- Protecting the team from external disruptions
- Promoting a safe environment for problem-solving and growth
