DescriptionWe are looking for an experienced IT Security Specialist to join our team in Cincinnati, Ohio, on a long-term contract basis. In this role, you will be responsible for safeguarding sensitive data and assets during acquisitions and divestitures while ensuring compliance with cybersecurity standards and best practices. This position requires a strong technical background, strategic thinking, and hands‑on expertise to manage security integration processes effectively.
Responsibilities- Lead the integration of information security risk management work streams for acquisitions and divestitures, ensuring seamless transitions.
- Develop and implement customized security policies, standards, and procedures for newly acquired or divested entities.
- Create detailed security integration plans and oversee their execution to align with organizational goals.
- Conduct comprehensive cybersecurity due diligence assessments to evaluate security postures and identify risks for acquisition and divestiture targets.
- Manage monitoring and reporting tools to mitigate risks associated with acquisitions and divestitures.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to ensure security controls are properly integrated into processes and technologies.
- Provide technical expertise to implement security solutions and address vulnerabilities in dynamic environments.
- Maintain adherence to industry regulations and cybersecurity frameworks, including ISO 27001 and NIST standards.
- Offer leadership and guidance in ambiguous scenarios, driving security initiatives with minimal oversight.
- Support continuous improvement efforts by identifying opportunities for enhanced security measures.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or equivalent relevant experience.
- At least 7 years of demonstrated experience in cybersecurity, particularly in conducting due diligence assessments for acquisitions and divestitures.
- Comprehensive knowledge of cybersecurity frameworks, standards, and regulations such as ISO 27001, NIST, and industry‑specific requirements.
- Hands‑on experience with integrating security technologies and processes in complex environments.
- Proven ability to lead cross‑functional teams or direct reports in ambiguous situations.
- Strong technical skills in areas such as data privacy, database security, and cyber governance.
- Preferred certifications in cybersecurity, such as CISSP, CISM, or equivalent.
- Creative problem‑solving abilities and familiarity with life sciences environments are a plus.
Cincinnati, Ohio – long‑term contract basis. Full‑time.
