Temporary Senior Associate, Open Shift Engineer
Join KPMG US as a Temporary Senior Engineer, Technology Operations Center for a twelve‑month assignment within our Digital Nexus technology organization.
Responsibilities- Provide expert‑level technical support to application teams using the Open Shift platform; troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to Open Shift virtualization or other platforms.
- Work closely with application teams to understand their requirements and provide guidance to optimize their Open Shift deployment.
- Maintain deep technical and business knowledge of industry trends.
- Collaborate with operations, middleware, and other teams to ensure timely issue resolution; participate in on‑call rotation for 24/7 critical support.
- Develop and maintain technical documentation, including knowledge‑base articles and best practices; contribute to automation tools and scripts to improve support processes.
- Mentor and train other support engineers to improve their technical skills.
- Act with integrity, professionalism, and personal responsibility to uphold KPMG’s respectful and courteous work environment.
- Minimum three years of recent experience managing medium‑ to large‑scale container platforms and providing technical support for enterprise applications.
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university is preferred.
- Practical experience with Open Shift (installation, configuration, troubleshooting) and a solid understanding of containerization and Kubernetes; experience with CI/CD tools such as Git Hub Actions or Jenkins preferred.
- Scripting experience with Shell, Bash, Python, or Power Shell; knowledge of virtualization technologies (VMWare, KVM) a plus.
- Strong verbal and written communication, problem‑solving, and analytical skills; proven ability to collaborate with clients, IT management, and team members.
- Detail‑oriented with excellent technical writing skills and effective time management; ability to mentor less experienced team members.
