Information Technology Business Analyst

Overview

Information Technology Business Analyst role at Western & Southern Financial Group (W&SFG). The IT Business Analyst I will support the development, implementation and enhancement of the Document Generating System, Inspire. The role requires a strong understanding of both business processes and technical systems, with a focus on automating, templating and managing the life cycle of business critical documents.

• Collaborate with stakeholders to elicit, document, and maintain business, stakeholder, and functional requirements and supporting documentation to drive projects to delivery.
• Translate business needs into detailed technical specifications and user stories for development teams.
• Conduct interviews and process mapping sessions to generate requirements.
• Participate in workshops and serve as SME to foster understanding of document workflows.
• Maintain comprehensive documentation of business requirements, technical specifications and system configurations.
• Research current functionality including interrogation of existing code when necessary.

• Experience in eliciting and documenting stakeholder needs that evolve into high-quality project deliverables.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, facilitation and documentation skills, problem solving and negotiation skills, and the ability to influence and lead others.
• Proven track record of bringing clarity to ambiguous criteria.
• Experience in a regulated industry with compliance-driven document requirements (e.g., insurance, healthcare, finance) is preferred.
• Prior experience with a Document Generating System, knowledge of document version control, records retention policies, and hands-on experience with tools like JIRA and Modern Requirements.
