UC Health is hiring a Full Time IT Programmer Analyst for the IT Interoperability Team. The Analyst is responsible for independently designing, coding, and supporting complex computer applications that increase Customer Service, quality, market share, and decrease cost for UC Health. The role includes efficient and effective code development, working with users to define information flow, reports and data requirements, writing specifications, developing and documenting operational procedures, testing software, and coordinating installations.

Qualifications
- Education:
Bachelor's degree in Information Systems or Computer Science or an equivalent combination of education and experience. - Experience:
Two or more years of programming or analysis experience in a PC, Client Server or mainframe environment. - Required Skills and Knowledge:
Ability to work in a team environment, good communication skills, adaptability to changing environments, and ability to code application code.
Responsibilities
- Interact with vendors and/or users to define and validate system requirements, including hardware and software.
- Provide clear functional or technical specifications and evaluate/select products to integrate into UC Health Systems.
- Design error‑free and comprehensive logical and/or physical databases, tables, and interfaces.
- Provide information and designs for testing applications and contingency plans.
- Train users, technical, and operations staff.
- Resolve system errors and user‑reported problems promptly.
- Maintain supported systems, apply patches, upgrade, and coordinate with vendors.
- Maintain working knowledge of applications and application databases.
- Provide on‑call support to system applications on a scheduled basis.
- Run adhoc production jobs and manage report routing and re‑runs.
- Resolve end‑user printing issues and execute system database corrections.
- Monitor system interfaces, nightly processes, operation logs, and utilization.
- Assist end users with programming issue resolution and troubleshooting.
- Develop independent testing plans, validate system requirements, and produce documentation.
- Provide complex, error‑free code/scripts or database/table/interface design or setup.
- Document solution alternatives and follow‑up to ensure business needs are met.
- Contribute to project charters, task level details, and resource estimates.
- Coordinate effectively with team members, other teams, users, and vendors.
- Document and facilitate issue resolution, raise issues to the appropriate level.
- Prepare accurate and timely status reports and timesheets.
- Mentor less experienced staff.
- Consult with IT staff and ensure change management procedures are followed.
- Develop consensus within user community and provide effective written and verbal communication.
