Overview
The Identity & Access Management (IAM) Analyst will serve as a subject matter expert responsible for building, maturing, and operating enterprise cybersecurity programs. This role partners closely with IT, Legal, Compliance, and business stakeholders to design scalable security capabilities while also retaining hands‑on operational responsibility. The position emphasizes program ownership, governance, and long‑term capability development, with direct involvement in day‑to‑day execution where required.
Responsibilities- Identify and assess: Assess identity‑related risks across users, systems, and third parties; define control gaps and remediation plans.
- Securely build & protect: Design and mature IAM capabilities including MFA, SSO, IGA, and PAM with a focus on scalable, policy‑driven access.
- Monitor, hunt, detect: Monitor for anomalous identity behavior and credential misuse; support SOC investigations.
- Respond, recover, sustain: Lead identity‑related incident response including compromised credentials and access misuse.
- Govern, manage, comply, & manage risk: Own IAM governance, lifecycle processes, and audit readiness aligned with FTC Safeguards Rule, HIPAA, and SOX.
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Cybersecurity, or equivalent experience.
- 5+ years of IAM or cybersecurity experience building and operating IAM programs at enterprise scale.
- Experience designing and operating IAM programs in hybrid or cloud‑first environments.
- Strong understanding of AWS IAM concepts, integrations, and cloud identity integrations.
- Proficiency with Python or scripting for identity automation.
- Knowledge of NIST, CIS Controls, and regulatory compliance requirements.
- Hands‑on experience with IAM, IGA, MFA, SSO, and PAM technologies.
- Experience supporting audits and regulatory compliance efforts.
- Ability to automate identity lifecycle processes using scripting or workflow tools.
- Certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CIAM, or equivalent preferred.
