** Role Overview Our organization is seeking a Senior Platform Engineer to deliver hands-on technical leadership for the enterprise Snowflake platform. The successful candidate will oversee the administration, reliability, security, performance, and cost optimization of the data infrastructure. This role involves partnering with engineering, architecture, and security teams to maintain a scalable, secure, and efficient data platform supporting critical business workloads.

Key Responsibilities
* Manage daily Snowflake platform administration, including user access controls, role management, warehouse configuration, and resource monitoring.
* Analyze query performance, warehouse utilization, concurrency, and compute costs to optimize overall platform efficiency.
* Implement and maintain role-based access control (RBAC), service accounts, authentication integrations, and data protection controls.
* Establish platform standards for warehouse sizing, auto-suspend/auto-resume, resource monitors, and workload isolation.
* Monitor platform health, investigate production incidents, perform root cause analysis, and implement preventative measures.
* Maintain database objects and platform hygiene, including schemas, tables, views, and retention settings.
* Support data integration and connectivity with cloud-based AWS services, including S3 and IAM.
* Automate administrative tasks and operational processes utilizing SQL, Python, scripting, and APIs.
* Develop operational dashboards and technical documentation for platform monitoring and access reviews.
* Collaborate with engineering teams on platform architecture, upgrades, and enterprise data initiatives.

Required Qualifications
*
* Education:

** Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
*
* Experience:

** Extensive hands-on experience administering and supporting Snowflake in a production enterprise environment.
** Technical

Skills:

** Advanced SQL proficiency, performance tuning, Snowflake RBAC implementation, workload management, cost monitoring, and automated database administration.

Preferred Qualifications
* Experience integrating Snowflake with AWS S3, IAM, Glue, and enterprise data pipelines.
* Proficiency with Python or shell scripting for automation.
* Experience with Terraform or other Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools.
* Familiarity with Snowflake resource monitors, ACCOUNT _USAGE views, and query history analysis.
* Snow Pro Core or Advanced certification.
* Experience in financial services or another regulated enterprise environment.
