Overview
Affordable Language Services is hiring Hindi interpreters for in-person appointments as independent contractors. You will provide interpreting services to those in need and serve your community in various settings.
Base pay range$18.00/hr - $25.00/hr
Responsibilities- Provide interpreting services as an independent contractor in medical, educational, social, legal, and other settings.
- Assist community members by breaking down language barriers and enabling access to services.
- Must be fluently bilingual in English and Hindi.
- If you do not have proof of professional interpreter training, you will be required to pass a language test in English and Hindi.
- Must have US I-9 work authorization.
- Must have at least a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Must be willing to provide a background check and drug test.
- Must be willing to provide MMR, Varicella, Covid, and Flu vaccination records if interested in medical interpreting.
- Must be willing to primarily attend in-person appointments.
- Professional training/experience is preferred but not required.
