Community Manager – Marlowe Court at Episcopal Retirement Services in Cincinnati, OH

Overview

Episcopal Retirement Services, one of Cincinnati's top employers for 16 years, seeks a Community Manager to lead and operate our Marlowe Court housing community. The role requires oversight of all operations, ensuring compliance with HUD and tax‑credit regulations while maintaining resident satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

  • Market the community, manage census and waitlist, and conduct tours.
  • Stay updated on HUD, HOME, 811, and tax‑credit regulations.
  • Enforce lease agreements, house rules, and pet policies in accordance with HUD/LIHTC standards.
  • Coordinate resident recertifications and ensure all required documentation is collected and submitted.
  • Process HAP vouchers and submit to TRACS.
  • Assist in developing and managing the community budget.
  • Maintain monthly rent statements, ensure timely rent collection, and process payments through One Site and bank deposits.
  • Approve accounts payable, ensuring vendors are paid on time.
  • Conduct regular community meetings and support Resident Council activities.
  • Manage the wellness committee and plan monthly activities.
  • Build and maintain relationships with local government officials and community groups.
  • Adhere to all ERS policies, safety, and corporate compliance program requirements.

Qualifications

  • At least two years of experience in a similar position.
  • Knowledge of HUD and tax‑credit regulations preferred.
  • Flexibility to work varying hours.
  • Strong team orientation and process‑based culture fit.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication in English.
  • Ability to accommodate sensory accommodations for required job functions.
  • Experience interacting with residents, including those who may be emotionally upset or hostile.
  • Independent, flexible, and works harmoniously with teams, residents, families, volunteers, government agencies, and the public.
  • Participation in continuing education on HUD, HOME, 811, and tax‑credit regulations.
