Operations Manager - Warehouse and Logistics
The Operations Manager is responsible for overseeing and optimizing all operational aspects of the tooling distribution business, including warehousing, logistics, inventory management, and customer fulfillment.
This role ensures efficient, cost-effective, and scalable operations that support the company’s growth and deliver excellent service to customers. The Operations Manager works closely with management to align operational strategies with business objectives and oversees warehouse and assembly teams.
Job Duties and Responsibilities- Oversee daily warehouse operations, including receiving, stocking, picking, packing, product maintenance, and shipping of tools and equipment.
- Maintain accurate inventory levels through regular cycle counts and reconciliation.
- Implement best practices for warehouse layout, storage, and safety compliance.
- Ensure proper handling of products to minimize damage and loss.
- Coordinate inbound and outbound freight, including supplier deliveries and customer shipments.
- Negotiate and manage relationships with carriers, freight forwarders, and logistics providers.
- Monitor shipping performance and resolve delivery issues quickly.
- Collaborate closely with suppliers to manage lead times, backorders, and purchasing requirements.
- Develop and implement process improvements to enhance productivity and reduce costs.
- Track and report on operational KPIs such as order fulfillment accuracy, on-time delivery, and inventory turns.
- Leverage technology (ERP/WMS systems) to improve workflow and data accuracy.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives aligned with business objectives.
- Supervise and train warehouse staff and support teams.
- Develop work schedules to meet customer demand while optimizing labor efficiency.
- Promote a safe, collaborative, and accountable workplace culture.
- Provide regular feedback, coaching, and performance evaluations.
- Ensure customer orders are processed accurately and delivered on time.
- Partner with sales, customer service, and purchasing teams to resolve operational issues.
- Contribute to maintaining high customer satisfaction and service levels.
Minimum Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, Operations Management, or a related field.
- Experience: 5+ years of operations, warehouse, or logistics management experience, preferably in distribution or wholesale. Aviation and FTZ experience are highly valued.

Skills:
Solid understanding of inventory control, supply chain processes, and logistics in an ISO
9001:2015 certified manufacturing and/or distribution business, and proficiency in relevant software and systems such as ERP, SCM, and WMS. - Industry Knowledge: Deep understanding of the aviation industry sector in which the company operates is an advantage.

Ability to build strong relationships and negotiate contracts with global suppliers and collaborate with customers and internal functional teams.
Pay Range $90,000 - $110,000 plus a discretionary bonus.
While a Company bonus is not guaranteed, this position’s maximum bonus percentage range can be up to 20% of base salary.
Company bonuses are not guaranteed and are based on your performance, the department’s performance and/or the Company’s financial results.
