Summary / Objective

The Production Associate position is responsible for supporting a variety of production functions and departments including stripping paperboard cartons, performing bindery fulfillment, and other duties. The Production Associate supports a machine operator to ensure maximum quality, productivity, and accuracy.

Shift
: 2nd Shift 2:30 pm–11:00 pm;
Monday–Friday; 40 hours a week.

Essential Functions
  • Maintain safety standards while working on equipment.
  • Use a hammer, air hammer, or other scrapping device to remove excess material from pre‑scored paperboard cartons.
  • Place stripped cartons neatly on pallet.
  • Keep a clean, safe work environment.
  • Read and follow directions as indicated.
  • Watch for the quality of the prints.
  • Count products for accuracy.
  • Box items for shipment.
  • Perform hand fulfillment duties such as folding boxes, hand inserting documents or other materials.
  • Support other departments as needed.

Required Experience and Education
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
Preferred Experience and Education
  • Direct mail, packaging, print experience preferred.
Work Environment
  • Subject to heat — temperatures above 100° for periods of more than one hour.
  • Subject to noise — noise level requiring shouting.
  • Subject to hazards — exposure to moving mechanical parts, vehicles, forklifts, electrical current, high places, chemicals, etc.
Physical Demands

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. The employee is required to stand for the full shift, use hands to handle tools or controls, reach with hands and arms, talk or hear; may occasionally climb stairs; must occasionally lift or move up to 20 pounds;

specific vision abilities required include close and distance vision and ability to adjust focus.

Position Type / Expected Hours of Work

This is a full‑time position with a standard schedule of 40 hours per week. Overtime may be required depending on business necessity.
