Job Overview
We are currently hiring a Blend Technician in Cincinnati, OH.
Schedule12-hour overnight shift (6:00 PM – 6:00 AM) on a rotating 3‑2‑3‑2 schedule as part of our C or D crew. Team members work 3 nights on, 2 nights off, 3 nights on, and 2 nights off, with every other weekend off.
ResponsibilitiesInitially, this person will be responsible for understanding the Base Alcohol fermentation and Hard Cider, Tea, and Seltzer blending processes. Upon completing the training, the successful candidate will manage the daily operation and quality of BBC products within the Blend Department.
- Base Alcohol and Blend Product Sensory evaluation in coordination with the Sensory lead.
- Work autonomously in Base Alcohol, fermentations, processing, and loadout; ISEP operations; and blending of final Tea, Cider, and Seltzer product lines.
- Build successful in-spec fermentations utilizing necessary specified materials.
- Monitor and maintain the fermentation to deliver an in-spec product. Ensure fermentation cycles follow established temperature profiles per recipe. Communicate and document changes in process parameters and raw materials.
- Coordinate the processing of Base Alcohol through centrifuge and filtration operations.
- Manage Base Alcohol loadout, data management, and general communication with customers.
- Deliver 100% in-spec product from the ISEP to storage tanks for shipment to contract partners and use for mixing of final Blend products.
- Batch blending of Hard Cider, Tea, and Seltzer products – deliver 100% in-spec product on time to meet the production schedules by following the batch sheet and procedures correctly.
- In-line blending – coordinate with the production schedule to deliver 100% in-spec product on time by following batch sheets and procedures correctly and utilizing an in-line blending and pre-Blend tote system to feed the packaging line.
- 2+ years of brewing experience in the brewing/manufacturing industry.
Level: 9. The pay range for this role is $26.50 per hour. Starting pay is dependent on related experience, skill set, and location.
