Summary Of Essential Duties And ResponsibilitiesOversees all maintenance activities related to the company owned and occupied facilities.
Personal Protective Equipment Required- Obey GMP’s and PPE’s for production areas.
- Lead maintenance department, and set department strategy, aligned with key principles of TPM, to improve equipment OEE.
- Manage and develop operational equipment maintenance supervisors, as well as mechanics.
- Implement systematic training to ensure that proper techniques are being utilized when repair or preventive maintenance activities are being performed.
- Optimize Computer Maintenance Management System (CMMS) to develop Preventive Maintenance schedules and instructions to maximize equipment uptime.
- Manage maintenance department budget.
- Identify and execute cost savings, and continuous improvement opportunities.
- Perform analysis of equipment downtime to further develop and recommend Predictive Maintenance activities.
- Collaborate with production and supporting departments to complete maintenance activities while minimizing food safety and service risks to the business.
- Other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION And/or EXPERIENCE- High school diploma, 2-year trade/technical school mechanic program (or comparable).
- Must have at least three (3) years experience as a maintenance manager of mid-sized consumer goods manufacturing facility; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Lean and TPM implementation experience. Demonstrated success in championing cultural shifts to adapt Lean principals. Proven track record of improved equipment reliability through Total Productive Maintenance practices.
To perform this job assignment an individual must meet the required job specific training located in the Training Register.
Communication SkillsAbility to effectively communicate up, down, and across the organization. Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
Mathematical SkillsAbility to use Algebra, Geometry, and basic Trigonometry to determine: distances, angles, ratios, percent and other measurements.
REASONING ABILITYAbility to apply commonsense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several, concrete variables in standardized situations.
Other QualificationsMust be able to analyze and repair assigned machinery and equipment. Direct and coordinate assigned maintenance personnel.

The employee occasionally works in high, precarious places and in outside weather conditions and is occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles, extreme cold, extreme heat, risk of electrical shock, and vibration. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.
