Job Description Summary

RPCA FLIGHT DECK Transformation Leader role is part of the Integrated Manufacturing FLIGHT DECK organization and is tasked with driving the GE’s lean manufacturing proprietary model, FLIGHT DECK, transformation within the Rotating Parts & Compressed Airfoils Part Family. The role will report to the RPCA Executive FLIGHT DECK Leader. The leader partners with organizational leadership at all levels to lead FLIGHT DECK activities, Kaizen events, and process improvements that reduce lead time and maximize cash flow, while coaching the function/part family to continuously improve the systematic approach to FLIGHT DECK at GE.

Roles and Responsibilities
  • Lead and execute the Part Family Transformation Roadmap within manufacturing lines to achieve operating goals using KPI‑based performance management.
  • Project‑manage the RPCA Kaizen Calendar and Kaizen Transformation approach, planning and coordinating Kaizen events with the plant’s FLIGHT DECK leaders.
  • Coach and lead Kaizen events to achieve target KPIs during the events and sustain results post‑event.
  • Lead high‑impact projects for customers and deploy FLIGHT DECK in critical areas of the part family based on customer needs.
  • Coach and collaborate with all levels of the organization and functions of the Part Family—including operators, support staff, and the leadership team—to drive continuous improvement.
  • Develop advanced competency in a wide range of FLIGHT DECK fundamentals and industrial methods, and coach associates in Lean principles.
  • Participate in the Part Family’s Daily Management process, including daily meetings, Genba walks, and Kata coaching cycles.
  • Coach teams using the Kata process to drive rapid experiments and systematic problem solving.
Required

Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience driving lean transformation in manufacturing or operations.
  • Knowledge and experience applying lean in shop‑floor situations (standardized work, material & information flows, level production, and pull systems).
  • Willingness to travel up to 60% of the time.
