Converting Machine Operator – $3000 Retention Bonus

Major Responsibilities
  • Operate converting bag machines safely to produce quality product with minimal scrap, meet production schedules, and maintain a clean work area.
Primary Duties
  • Perform timely and thorough quality checks throughout the shift and record results on shift reports. Packer/Inspectors perform checks every ½ hour.
  • Perform light maintenance on machines and communicate major issues to supervisor or lead.
  • Run and catch on a machine or run 2–3 machines with assistance from a packer.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent (GED).
  • Minimum 2‑year product (plastics) or industry‑specific (converting) machine experience preferred.
  • Minimum 2‑year manufacturing experience required.
  • Job stability: at least 1 job in last 2 years or 2 jobs in last 5 years.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong math and measurement skills.
  • Ability to work well in a team and as an independent contributor.
Additional Responsibilities
  • Run a paper bag machine with help of a packer, perform light maintenance, and communicate major issues.
  • Read, understand, and follow all work instructions to produce products that meet standards for production, scrap, and quality.
  • Ensure departmental compliance with certification requirements and maintain good housekeeping practices per AIB/ISO standards; maintain product quality at or above required specifications.
