Job Title:
Sanitation Specialist - Northland (2nd Shift)
Location:
Cincinnati, Ohio 45246
Pay Rate: $17-$18/hour
Shift: 2:00 p.m. – 10:00 p.m. / Weekends as needed

- Responsible for daily facility sanitation and custodial duties according to the Sanitation Master Schedule.
- Clean all production areas according to SQF regulations, GMP, and sanitation policies.
- Disassemble machines, sanitize, foam rinse, and reassemble production lines for use.
- Clean and sanitize production line operating equipment (ovens, mixers, etc.).
- Clean and sanitize baking equipment including bins, trays, etc.
- Use power equipment such as floor sweepers, vacuums, scrubbers, mops, and power washers.
- Operate floor scrubber to clean concrete flooring.
- Sweep and mop work areas.
- Perform housekeeping duties including restrooms, lunchroom, offices, lobby, and conference room areas.
- Discard all corrugated, inedible food and other packing material.
- Operate cleaning systems and equipment as trained and specified.
- Maintain a working knowledge of equipment and proper LOTO procedures for machinery.
- Support SQF by maintaining food safety and quality through completing tasks and keeping the work area sanitary.
- Perform other assigned tasks such as cleaning walls, silos, ceilings, stairs, and other areas as directed by the sanitation supervisor.
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common industry, production, and technical documents in English.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently with meticulous attention to detail.
- Proficient understanding of sanitation procedures and equipment.
- Commitment to maintaining high safety standards.
- Strong leadership and communication skills within a team environment.
- Experience in a fast-paced environment with a focus on quality and safety.
- Ability to comprehend and communicate effectively in English.
- Basic math skills and ability to work weekends and holidays as needed.
- Prior proficiency in equipment use and operation.
- Ability to work independently with high attention to detail.
- 1-3 years of sanitation experience in a manufacturing setting (food manufacturing preferred but not required).
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Ability to read, comprehend, and communicate safety labels on chemical containers.
- Working conditions are typical for a manufacturing environment.
- Ability to lift and move objects up to 50 lbs. in all directions.
- Ability to communicate with others to exchange information.
- Repetitive motions of wrists, hands, and fingers.
- Hearing and recognizing sounds.
- Work in varying temperatures from freezer to production areas (as low as
-15 and up to 110 degrees). - Exposure to flashing lights, horns, and powered moving equipment.
- Move about to accomplish tasks; may work at different worksites.
- Stand for long periods; may be required to sit occasionally.
- Ability to access tight and confined spaces and climb stairs, ladders, ramps, poles, and scaffolding as needed.
- Excellent hand/eye coordination and ability to bend, stretch, twist, or reach.
- Wear PPE as needed and observe GMPs to maintain a clean work environment.
