Shift
1st Shift 5:30 am‑4:00 pm (Mon‑Thu).
Summary / Objective
The employee is responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining the folder gluer machine, ensuring all jobs are completed efficiently, safely, and to established quality standards.
- Set up, operate folder and gluer equipment.
- Correct and/or report any unsafe conditions.
- Train apprentice and entry‑level members as needed; suggest ideas for company‑wide continuous improvement.
- Perform minor repairs and preventative maintenance on glue and folder equipment.
- Match sample to glue and fold pieces.
- Glue and fold a variety of sized and types of cartons.
- Maintain quality and productivity.
- Ability to read and follow written job tickets and schedules; good math skills.
- Effective communication with supervisors, managers, coworkers and customers.
Education and Experience
- 2–3 years of experience with the gluer and folder machine.
Education and Experience
- Experience operating a Bobst machine.
The work environment is fast‑paced. Exposure to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts, vibration, and moderate to loud noise are possible. The employee must stand for the full shift, use hands to handle, reach with arms, climb stairs occasionally, and occasionally lift or move up to 20 lbs. Vision requirements include near, distance, and ability to adjust focus.
Position Type / HoursFull‑time position, 40 hours per week. Overtime may be required.
