What You’ll Be DoingReporting to the General Manager, the Quality Manager will lead a total team of 20, including 7 direct reports, to manage the day‑to‑day operation of the Quality Control Department.
Key responsibilities include:
- Plan, organize, and implement processes and resources to ensure on‑time delivery of products that meet customer and regulatory requirements.
- Maximize resource utilization to achieve quality, schedule, and profit goals, and facilitate continuous improvement projects.
- Set goals, work plans, and budgets to achieve the lowest cost and highest quality results.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable government regulations, contract requirements, and internal audit standards.
- Conduct audits of the Management System to verify conformance to quality plans and requirements.
- Analyze product losses, material reviews, manufacturing costs, and maintain improvement programs to drive process and product excellence.
- Monitor and report quality delays, controlling significant out‑of‑tolerance gauges.
- Develop and maintain a communication plan to inform employees about quality business goals and objectives.
- Create a climate of open, two‑way communication, encouraging the exchange of ideas and information.
- Identify training and development needs for the quality team.
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or business from an accredited university or a minimum of 6 years’ experience in quality‑related functions with a progressive history of increased responsibility.
- Experience leading quality system planning and quality improvement methods.
- Minimum Internal Auditor training in ISO 9001 and / or AS 9100;
Certified Lead Assessor desirable. - Knowledge of machining, assembly, NDT, Metrology, Auditing, and root cause analysis.
- Leadership experience in Operations, Manufacturing, or Quality preferred.
- Experience working directly with external customers and suppliers.
- Familiarity with project / program management tools and processes.
- Comfortable with group presentation and communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to excel in all customer service areas.
- Accountable for meeting customer/business needs and developing direct reports.
- Strong analytical and creative problem‑solving skills.
- Collaborative and team‑oriented mindset.
- Outstanding written and verbal communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
- Must be a U.S. Citizen.
