Summary: This role is responsible for identifying, pulling, and preparing sheet metal materials for laser cutting operations. The position ensures that correct materials are selected, cut to size, and delivered to the appropriate staging areas, while maintaining material records and organizing stock.
Key Responsibilities:
- Identify material specifications and thickness from work orders or schedules.
- Pull appropriate sheet metal from stock and shear to required dimensions.
- Stage prepared material for laser operation areas.
- Unload and organize incoming raw material from vendors.
- Record material usage and maintain accurate inventory logs.
- Organize and maintain material storage areas for clarity and accessibility.
Skills &
Qualifications:
- Ability to read material specs and distinguish between metal types and gauges.
- Basic experience with shearing equipment and material handling tools.
- Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
Do you have experience working in a manufacturing or fabrication environment?
Can you safely lift and move parts and objects (up to 50 lbs)?
Have you ever used a sheet metal shear or similar cutting equipment?
Are you familiar with identifying metal types and gauges by spec or appearance?
Do you have experience with inventory tracking or logging material usage?
Are you authorized to work in the United States?
