CNC Machinist

Using your experience, set up and prove out programs on 4 or 5 axis CNC milling machines and machining centers to machine complex parts from various metals and composites to meet the tight tolerances required in the aerospace and defense industries. 1st Shift: 5:30am - 4pm (Monday - Friday)

2nd Shift (various full and part-time schedules):

• 5 - 10 hour shifts (Monday - Friday)
• 4 - 10 hour shifts (Monday - Friday)
• 4 - 12 hour shifts (Monday - Friday)

• Work from routed instructions, manufacturing process plans, blueprints and verbal instructions under moderate supervision.
• Plan and make set-ups using needed tools for the CNC program per the set-up sheet.
• Use a variety of hand‑held measuring instruments.
• May write programs at the machine.
• Download and upload programs at the machine.
• Completes accompanying routers as operations are successfully finished before moving.

• High school career machine trades program is preferred.
• G&M coding experience.
• Ability to read blueprints and working knowledge of GD&T.
• Mechanical and spatial aptitude.
• Must have own tools.
