2ndShift 2 PM - 10:30 PM
Overview:
- We seek a skilled 2nd Shift Maintenance Electrician to support daily production activities by installing, diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining electrical equipment in a manufacturing environment.
- The successful candidate will ensure all tasks are performed safely, efficiently, and accurately to uphold and improve plant performance.
Responsibilities:
- Install, diagnose, and repair electrical systems, apparatus, and industrial machinery components.
- Plan and install power supply wiring and conduit for machines, including palletizers, conveyors, and programmable controllers.
- Test and adjust electronic components and wiring, ensuring equipment meets specifications.
- Troubleshoot and repair production and facility equipment for optimal efficiency.
- Maintain and organize the maintenance area, ensuring cleanliness and order.
- Utilize maintenance systems to complete daily, weekly, and monthly duties.
- Operate material handling equipment safely.
- Document work order completion in maintenance systems.
- Support predictive and preventative maintenance programs.
- Actively participate in plant initiatives and support continuous improvement efforts.
- Perform safety observations and support SQF 2000 Systems development.
- Uphold Kroger Manufacturing Food Safety and Quality Principles.
- Complete other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- High School diploma or GED equivalent.
- 2–4 years of maintenance electrician experience.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, electrical schematics, and parts specifications.
- Flexible with work hours, including overtime, weekends, and holidays.
- Comfortable working in fast-paced, noisy environments with chemical exposure.
- Strong communication, attention to detail, planning, and organizational skills.
- Self-motivated and capable of working independently to meet deadlines.
Physical Requirements:
- Regularly stand, walk, sit, bend, squat, reach, push/pull, and handle objects.
- Lift/move up to 50 pounds frequently and occasionally up to 100 pounds.
- Work in varying temperatures and noise levels.
