Packaging Coordinator

The Packaging Coordinator works under the direction of the Packaging Lead & Manager to help assist in the day-to-day running of the Packaging Department to include directing the work of other Packaging Associates. The Packaging Coordinator may also assist the Packaging Manager with special projects and customer relations.

• Oversight of Packaging Assemblers to ensure accurate and timely assembly of packaging goods
• QA checks to ensure accuracy of builds according to company QA requirements
• Notifying the Warehouse Manager of damaged goods and appropriately transferring in system and physically tagging/segregating materials
• Assist in training new employees
• Assist in ensuring employee safety, and housekeeping of the area and meeting production quality and quantity standards on the shift.
• Ensures that established policies, rules and regulations, and procedures are followed and reports any issues to management
• Troubleshooting issues on the production floor
• Reports on any process and equipment problems

• High acuity for attention to Detail
• Ability to communicate both orally and in writing with other team members, supervisors & customers
• Must be timely and work efficiently throughout the day
• Must be a self-starter with the ability to multi-task
• Contribute ideas on ways to improve or optimize packaging procedures
• Good organizational & time management skills
• Must be comfortable in an active production environment

Required:

• 3+ years previous production experience
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs
• Must have a basic knowledge of Microsoft Office software and ability to learn company software

Preferred:

• Previous leadership experience preferred
