Overview

The Cardiac Cath Lab at Tri Health Bethesda North is a crucial part of the Tri Health Heart Hospital and cardiac program, and it specializes in fast-paced, high-acuity care for cardiovascular patients. Procedures include high-risk coronary intervention, chronic total occlusions, heart failure treatment, placement of mechanical support devices, and structural heart procedures such as transfemoral aortic valve replacements. We operate a 24/7 STEMI program.

7A - 5:30P
On Call Requirement - 1 Night a Week / Every 4th Weekend

Job Requirements
  • Associate s Degree - Nursing (Required)
  • New hires required to obtain BSN within 5 years of hire. (Required)
  • Up To 1 Year Clinical In Nursing Experience (Required)
  • Registered Nurse Required
  • ACLS/PALS may be required but is dependent on unit or department (Preferred)
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) Required
Job Responsibilities
  • Demonstrates organizational responsibilities and leadership on the unit as needed.
  • Collaborates with physicians and health care team members; may delegate aspects of care as appropriate.
  • Evaluates plans of care, documents patient/family response, and revises plans as needed.
  • Performs initial and ongoing assessment of patient and family; documents findings per guidelines.
  • Performs technical skills, safely administers medications/treatments, and uses equipment safely.
  • Plans and updates plan of care; coordinates discharge planning with patient/family and team.
  • Ensures ethical considerations, patient advocacy, and non-discriminatory care.
  • Maintains a safe and therapeutic environment and prioritizes workload based on patient needs.
