Mayfield Surgery Center is seeking a qualified Pre‑Op/PACU RN to administer diligent care to outpatients via monitoring, assessment, intervention, and continuous reassessment. The Pre‑OP/PACU/Pain Management RN will provide care for post‑operative patients recovering from anesthesia, including general, regional, and local.
THIS IS A PRN POSITION AND REQUIRES FLEXIBILITY TO THE NEEDS OF THE FACILITY.

The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required. Moreover, we are seeking a flexible, competent, patient‑focused team‑player that compliments the energy of our surgery center.
Required Skills- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
- Current Ohio Nursing License
- Current BLS, ACLS and PALS
- Minimum of 2 years CRITICAL CARE, EMERGENCY DEPARTMENT or PACU EXPERIENCE
- Strong knowledge of surgical procedures and management of the surgical patient
- Understand principles of aseptic technique and their implementation
- Ability to care for patients from infancy to geriatrics
- Knowledge base to recognize, evaluate, solve problems and correct errors
- Ability to quickly adapt to changing condition of the patient when needed
- Excellent teaching skills
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Demonstrate strong professional and ethical behavior
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with patients, physicians and fellow employees. (TEAMWORK)
- Strong customer service skills (AIDET)
- Demonstrate accountability, creativity, innovation and be receptive to change
- Possess basic knowledge of Performance Improvement ideology
- Previous experience working in an ambulatory surgical setting preferred.
* Minimum 2+ years of critical care experience to include areas of ICU, PACU, ED, IR, EP, CATH LAB or related procedural care.
