RN Weekend Manager at Carespring Health Care Management
Rate- $35.00 to $41.00 depending on experience and licensure, with increased shift differentials.
Provide leadership to nursing staff by overseeing the daily nursing department operations.
Duties- Carry out administrative and patient care duties as part of shift responsibilities
- Supervise and assume responsibility for the actions and care delivered by STNAs
- Abide by department policies and procedures and interpret them to personnel, medical staff, patients, and the public
- Be willing to work on the unit designated by D.O.N., A.D.O.N., or Supervisor
- Check 24‑hour report sheet for changes/updates in patient care needs for the day
- Make walking rounds and supervise N.A. care delivered
- Administer medication (including IV) and treatment per physician orders specific to the patient
- Attempt to meet the patient’s spiritual or psychological needs with available resources
- Assist and direct admission/discharge process of patients
- Give and receive report at the beginning and change of shift to oncoming staff
- Takes and transcribes physician orders
- Answers telephone inquiries
- Evaluates patient care needs, condition, develops and/or adds to existing plan of care for the patient
- Handles admission process when documentation nurse unavailable, including verifying orders, arranging diagnostic/therapeutic needs, ordering medication, communicating with dietitian, completing paperwork per admission checklist
- Handles transfer and discharge, arranging transportation and communication with family, completing paperwork
- Maintains appropriate documentation in electronic medical record
- Direct and assist with department cleaning and care of equipment/appliances
- Communicate with teamwork with all departments
- Ensure overall safety and cleanliness of the unit
- Greet and direct visitors on unit
- Valid nursing license in the state where the facility is located
- Meet state‑required continuing education hours per licensure period
- Good physical and mental health
- Desire to work with elderly
- Willing to perform non‑professional duties
- Level‑headed, able to give or receive direction in emergency situations
- Puts patient needs above own desires or judgement
- Always serves as patient advocate
