RN Unit Manager – Full-Time | Meadowbrook Care Center | Cincinnati, OH Meadowbrook Care Center in Cincinnati, OH, is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) Unit Manager to join our leadership team. This is a full-time opportunity for a dedicated nursing professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is committed to delivering the highest standard of resident care.
As an RN Unit Manager, you will play a critical role in supervising daily nursing operations, coordinating resident services, and supporting our Director of Nursing Services in maintaining compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
Responsibilities- Oversee day-to-day nursing activities for a skilled nursing unit
- Supervise, mentor, and support nursing staff to ensure consistent, high-quality care
- Admit, transfer, and discharge residents in compliance with facility policies
- Coordinate nursing services with other departments to ensure continuity of care
- Participate in on-call rotation with three other nurse managers
- Conduct resident rounds, review care plans, and provide direct nursing care as needed
- Assist with physician rounds and communicate resident needs and updates
- Monitor stock levels of medications, supplies, and equipment
- Prepare and maintain accurate medical forms, reports, evaluations, and charts
- Investigate and complete accident/incident reports as required
- Ensure nursing personnel follow established procedures and policies
- Welcome and orient new residents and their families to the facility
- Current, active, and unencumbered RN license in Ohio (LPNs with strong leadership experience may be considered)
- Nursing degree from an accredited program (RN or LPN)
- Minimum 2 years of supervisory experience in long-term care, skilled nursing, or hospital setting
- Strong knowledge of nursing practices, regulations, and guidelines related to long-term care
- Demonstrated leadership, organizational, and communication skills
- Ability to make independent clinical and administrative decisions
- Patient, professional, and tactful in interactions with staff, residents, families, and external partners
- Familiarity with Point Click Care electronic medical records is a plus
