Harrison Pavilion is seeking an experienced Night Shift RN Supervisor to serve as a cart / working supervisor on 12-hour night shifts. The Night Shift RN Supervisor is accountable for the delivery of safe, therapeutic resident care from admission through discharge in collaboration with the physician, family, and the interdisciplinary health care team. This is a hands‑on Night Shift RN Supervisor role that combines clinical leadership with direct cart work.

Position Overview – Night Shift RN Supervisor (Cart / Working Supervisor)

The Night Shift RN Supervisor oversees clinical care on the unit while actively passing medications, completing treatments, and providing direct resident care as a cart / working supervisor
. The Night Shift RN Supervisor ensures standards of nursing practice are met, supports nursing assistants, and helps maintain a calm, organized night environment.

Responsibilities of Night Shift RN Supervisor

• Supervise staff who provide direct nursing care to residents in accordance with each resident’s plan of care, including medication administration, assessments, wound care, and documentation.

• Function as a cart nurse, with the Night Shift RN Supervisor actively administering medications and treatments during the shift.

• Oversee the day‑to‑day nursing activities performed by Nursing Assistants on the night shift, providing guidance and support as the Night Shift RN Supervisor
  .

• Monitor residents’ conditions, recognize changes, and promptly notify the physician and appropriate team members.

• Ensure accurate, timely charting and documentation for residents under the care of the Night Shift RN Supervisor
  .

• Promote regulatory compliance, resident safety, and high‑quality care throughout the building during the night.

Mandatory Qualifications – Night Shift RN Supervisor

• Nursing degree from an accredited college or university.

• Current, unencumbered, active Ohio RN license and current CPR certification.

• At least one year of experience in long‑term care as an RN
  .

Skills and Qualities – Night Shift RN Supervisor

• The Night Shift RN Supervisor must be knowledgeable of nursing and medical practices and procedures, as well as state, federal, and regulatory requirements for long‑term care.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills and strong critical thinking abilities.

• Ability for the Night Shift RN Supervisor to deal tactfully and professionally with an interdisciplinary team, residents, families, visitors, government agencies, and the general public.

• Strong organization and prioritization skills to balance cart work and supervisory duties as a cart / working supervisor
