Minimum Qualifications
  • Hold an active Ohio State‑tested nurse aid certification.
  • Have the ability, with or without reasonable accommodation, to lift, push, pull or move 50 lbs on a regular basis and 100 lbs occasionally.
  • Have the ability to relate to and work effectively with the aging population, integrating our philosophy of people‑centered care.
  • Have the ability to read, write and communicate effectively in the English language.
  • Have the physical ability to fulfill the ongoing functions of the position.
  • Have the ability to maintain an attendance record that falls within the guidelines of the company’s attendance policy.
  • Demonstrate our ways of working through harmonious interaction with all peoples.
  • Have knowledge and competencies for age‑specific interventions.
Job Responsibilities
  • Provide people‑centered care to residents including grooming, bathing, feeding, activities, and all other matters of individualized care.
  • Answer call lights, verbally or in person, within 60 seconds.
  • Maintain resident functional abilities at optimum level by using restorative devices and programs as ordered.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and inviting living environment for residents by keeping rooms, dining areas, halls, and other common areas free of clutter, soiled items, debris, and odor.
  • Follow facility policies and procedures for infection control by practicing standard precautions and following OSHA guidelines for handling blood and other potentially infectious materials.
  • Read, understand, implement, and evaluate the resident’s current Plan of Care.
  • Update all resident‑related information and complete other administrative responsibilities in a timely and accurate manner using the computerized medical records system.
  • Notify the charge/care team nurse in a timely manner of changes in resident condition, family or resident concerns, malfunctioning equipment, material shortages, and other pertinent observations.
