Nursing Veterinary Assistant - Nights

Overview

Med Vet is a fast‑growing emergency and specialty provider nationwide. We help patients receive advanced medical treatments and innovations such as chemotherapy, radiation, cardiac ablations, glaucoma treatment, physical rehabilitation, dermatology, and more. We’re looking for collaborative and driven people to join our clinical team.

Thurs/Fri EO Sat/Sun 7p-7:30a. Night shift; constant supervision to ensure treatment plans are executed.

• Record and deliver organized rounds, discuss cases, and gather additional information as necessary
• Partner with the patient care team regarding treatment plans, client communication, and nursing care concerns
• Provide client education, including home care instructions, medication information, and general wellness updates for hospitalized patients
• Assist DVM with patient assessment, treatment, and procedures
• Provide monitoring and nursing care to hospitalized patients
• Perform in‑house laboratory testing and prepare samples for outside laboratory testing

• Prior veterinary experience required; previous nursing or critical care experience desired
• Proficient in drug calculations, constant‑rate infusions, unit conversions, etc.
• Flexibility with work hours and ability to work additional hours when necessary
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast‑paced environment
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
