We are seeking an Acute Care Nurse Practitioner (ACNP with CRNFA) or Physician Assistant (PA) to join our Cardiothoracic Surgery team. In this role, you will function as a vital member of a highly collaborative, multidisciplinary care team delivering exceptional, family-centered care.
Schedule & Coverage- Shifts:
7:00 AM – 7:00 PM - Require flexibility to meet patient care, including weekends, holidays, and on‑call coverage
- Average 40 hours per week
- Scheduling is managed in 6‑week time blocks:
- Two weeks of four 12‑hour shifts
- Four weeks of three 12‑hour shifts
- Provide care for cardiothoracic surgery patients across the continuum
- Participate in outpatient clinics, including pre‑operative evaluations
- Round on inpatients and manage post‑operative care
- Assist in the operating room, including first assist responsibilities as applicable
- Participate in weekday and weekend call rotation
- Respond on‑site for emergent cases as required
- Collaborate closely with surgeons, intensivists, nursing, and ancillary teams
- Licensed Acute Care Nurse Practitioner (ACNP) with CRNFA certification or licensed Physician Assistant (PA)
- Eligible for or holding Ohio licensure
- Previous cardiothoracic surgery, critical care, or complex inpatient experience strongly preferred
- Ability to thrive in a high‑acuity, fast‑paced surgical environment
