FT 11pm-7am

Cares for residents in a nursing home or other medical facilities to preserve and promote the health and well-being of the residents, under the direction of nursing and medical staff, by performing the following duties.

• Assigns duties and coordinates nursing service
• Evaluates nursing activities to ensure resident care, staff relations, and efficiency of service
• Observes nursing care and visits residents to ensure that nursing care is carried out as directed, and treatment is administered under Physician's instructions
• Accompanies Physician on rounds and keeps informed of special orders concerning residents
• Participates in orientation and training of personnel
• Orders/direct ordering of drugs, solutions, and equipment and maintains records on narcotics
• Investigates and resolves complaints; refers unusual problems to superior
• Obtains report from the off-going shift; presents the report to the oncoming shift. Reports all changes in conditions etc. to the Nursing Supervisor
• Follows resident's rights program
• Completes reports as assigned, develops care plans administers and documents medication
• Follows facility admissions policy and facility discharge and transfer policy
• Participates in resident care plan meetings
