Overview
Emergency Department Client Service Representative
- Evenings CSR provides the first interaction with clients, delivering superior service to ensure smooth, compassionate, and effective client experiences throughout the Med Vet visit. This role requires practical knowledge of hospital organization, veterinary terminology, medical records, and financial policies/transactions, with the ability to multi-task and enter data accurately while maintaining a compassionate yet professional demeanor.
Schedule:
Tuesday, Thursday, Friday, EO Sat/Sun 2p-12a
- Answer client calls and address client concerns by collaborating with doctors and team to support clients
- Escort clients and their pets to exam rooms
- Manage appointments, obtain histories and update patient information
- Maintain accurate and thorough documentation of medical records
- Manage medical records, charts, reports and correspondence
- Patient discharge and client education
- Ability to remain composed in stressful and emotional situations
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent client service skills and phone etiquette
- Attention to detail, self-motivated and able to work well in a team and autonomously
- Sense of urgency in a fast-paced environment
- Flexible with work hours and able to work additional hours when necessary
- Critical thinking and ability to anticipate needs inter- and intra-departmentally
- General computer competency, including Microsoft Word and Excel
- Previous experience in a veterinary setting (preferred)
