The purpose of the Quality Inspector is to perform inspections on incoming, in-process, and final materials/components to verify that such meet required quality specifications.
Primary responsibilities- Inspect and measure incoming materials/components using established quality standards and documentation for each part
- Inspect and measure start-up and in-process components using established quality standards and documentation for each
- Inspect and measure final components and products using established quality standards and documentation for each part
- Read engineering drawings and instructions to comprehend the quality expectations for the product and supplies
- Approve or reject parts based on quality requirements
- Assist Quality Engineer in performing First Article inspections as needed
- Assist Quality Engineer and other management personnel in identifying in-process or supplier trends
- Assist Quality Engineer and other engineering/management personnel in identifying opportunities for improving processes and procedures related to quality and material flow
- Responsible for maintaining a safe work environment
- Ability to learn, understand, and effectively apply sampling plans
- Excellent attention to detail with a quality mindset
- Self‑motivated and able to work with minimal supervision
- Ability to work in a team environment
- Willingness to take further technical training in areas required to improve job skills when necessary
- Ability to use a computer or tablet to process transactions
- Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings, industry specifications and work instructions
- Basic knowledge of measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, bore micrometers, height gauges, etc.

- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is mostly in a sitting position but will occasionally be required to walk and lift up to 50 lbs.
