About the Role (Summary of project)Gentis Solutions is seeking a Quality Inspector (Aerospace) for a contract-to-hire opportunity in Blue Ash, OH
. This role is responsible for inspecting incoming materials, in-process components, and finished aerospace parts to ensure compliance with engineering drawings, specifications, and quality standards.
The ideal candidate has hands‑on experience with inspection tools, strong attention to detail, and the ability to read and interpret basic aerospace engineering drawings. This is a great opportunity for someone looking to grow their career in aerospace quality and manufacturing environments.
What You’ll Do (Job Description)- Perform inspection activities to verify that materials and products meet applicable requirements.
- Use handheld measurement tools such as calipers, micrometers, and indicators to conduct dimensional checks.
- Read and interpret simple aerospace engineering drawings and specifications
. - Complete inspection documentation accurately and on time.
- Report discrepancies and nonconformances to appropriate personnel.
- Support first article inspections
, receiving inspections, dimensional studies, auditing, and root‑cause/corrective actions as needed. - Maintain clean, safe, and compliant work areas following OSHA and company safety standards
. - Follow written instructions and work independently with minimal supervision.
- Support team workflows and coordinate with production and quality teams.
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Previous experience working in a manufacturing or inspection environment (aerospace preferred).
- Proficiency with handheld inspection tools (calipers, micrometers, indicators).
- Ability to read and interpret basic aerospace engineering drawings.
- Basic computer proficiency, including Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook
. - Ability to meet 20/25 near‑vision requirement (with or without corrective lenses).
- Ability to pass a color vision test
, background check, and drug screen. - Strong work ethic, self‑motivation, and ability to work within a team environment.
- Experience with measurement system analysis
, root cause/corrective action
, or first article inspections
. - Familiarity with aerospace manufacturing or quality systems.
- Experience as a designated supplier quality representative (optional).
