Position Summary

The Acquisitions Analyst will be responsible for researching and analyzing real estate deals for Viking Partners. This role is also responsible for supporting all due diligence procedures for acquisitions. The Acquisitions Analyst is expected to build and maintain strong relationships in the real estate industry, assess changing market conditions, and demonstrate strong communication skills and attention to detail.

Responsibilities
  • Underwrite each deal and oversee the input and completion of the financial models by the analyst.
  • Assist in the formulation of a business plan.
  • Present potential deals to executive management for review and approval.
  • Support acquisitions financing and refinancing.
  • Assist in negotiations and communications with sellers and brokers.
  • Conduct market research, including lease and sales comps and competitive vacancies.
  • Work with legal counsel on all aspects of the deal.
  • Support the due diligence process.
  • Develop and cultivate relationships in the real estate industry.
Skills / Knowledge Required
  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • Underwriting, market research and financial analysis experience required.
  • Minimum 1–3 years real estate acquisitions experience.
  • Thorough understanding of the retail, industrial and office industries; hospitality and multifamily experience a plus.
  • Experience in financial modeling.
  • Detail-oriented and organized with strong presentation and written skills.
  • Self-starter with the ability to multi-task, meet deadlines and communicate effectively with internal and outside stakeholders.
