The Nakamura lab is recruiting a Postdoctoral Fellow with experience in molecular biology, RNA biology, and/or immunology to support NIH-funded projects studying extracellular vesicles (EVs) in immunometabolism and related diseases such as diabetes and fatty liver disease. The role involves immunological studies using mouse and cell culture models, EV RNA cargo analysis, and clinical samples.

Responsibilities include:
  • Designing, executing, and analyzing experiments.
  • Improving methods and implementing new techniques.
  • Presenting research findings.
  • Writing scientific reports, papers, and grant proposals.
  • Staying current with literature and seminars.
  • Ensuring regulatory compliance and attending training.
Qualifications:
  • Ph.D. in a related discipline, MD, or equivalent.
  • Preferred:
    Experience in RNA biology, immunology, mouse studies, molecular biology, biochemistry, metabolism, or microscopy. Candidates with their own fellowships or planning to apply are prioritized.
Skills:
  • Excellent communication, organization, and analytical skills.
  • Computer literacy and familiarity with software applications.
  • Ability to synthesize information and meet deadlines.
