Location p>On‑site

Position Overview p>Part‑time, non‑exempt, $15.00/hour, 45‑hour work week (Tuesday‑Saturday). Responsible as cashier, greeter, ticket taker, POS operator, and phone handler for the museum and off‑site events.

Responsibilities ul> li>Operate the POS system for ticket sales, membership sales, group check‑in, program sales, and retail sales in the Freedom Store. li>Proactively sell memberships to guests and work to meet sales goals.
li>Check in groups and provide museum orientations. li>Operate a multi‑line phone system. li>Communicate with all visitors professionally both over the phone and in‑person. li>Respond to guest inquiries and issues intuitively. li>Perform museum opening and closing procedures. li>Discuss sensitive topics with sensitivity. li>Maintain a clean work environment. li>Partner with other departments on projects. li>Maintain knowledge of current and upcoming exhibitions. li>Maintain integrity, accountability, and high safety standards.
li>Adhere to NURFC mission and EPIC Standards and Behaviors. li>Recognize growth opportunities and address challenges. li>Accessible to weekends and holidays as required. /ul> Education and Experience ul> li>College graduate or high school graduate with equivalent experience required. History, Arts, or Communication degrees/background are a plus. li>Previous customer service experience required. li>Experience with Microsoft Office required. li>Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills, including conflict resolution;

outgoing, friendly personality. li>Comfortable engaging a diverse pool of visitors. li>Ability to follow directions, remain flexible, and keep composure in a fast‑paced environment. li>Self‑motivation, initiative, and ability to work independently as well as in a team. li>Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and work well under pressure. li>Eagerness to learn and self‑educate on museum topics. li>Must be able to work a flexible schedule, including events, weekends, and holidays.
/ul> Physical Requirements p>Employee must regularly sit, stand, walk, talk, and hear; use arms, hands, and fingers to handle or reach. Must stand and walk, occasionally climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, and climb stairs. Must occasionally lift or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
