DSW Store Lead Part-Time
Designer Brands is looking for a store lead to manage day‑to‑day operations for a DSW retail store. The role focuses on delivering exceptional customer experience, maintaining store standards and leading a team of associates.

- Maintain in‑store experience by modeling Customer Experience Leader (CEL) behaviors and guiding associate actions to achieve store goals and KPIs.
- Ensure customers have a positive experience by maintaining DSW store standards and completing all tasks related to daily open/close, cleaning, recovery, and maintenance.
- Review daily communications, plan and assign tasks throughout the day, and follow through with required actions.
- Meet metric‑based goals by reviewing, understanding and clearly communicating daily progress; communicate business trends to leadership.
- Complete processes related to audits, donations, transfers, mismates, damages, etc.
- Work closely with the store leadership team to follow all policy and procedures.
- Participate in inventory activities including freight receipt, product placement, markdowns, and mark out of stock (MOOS).
- Assist management with omni activities, including Charge/Send and Buy Online Pick Up In Store (BOPIS).
- Communicate supply needs to ensure successful operations in all business areas.
- Ensure a safe environment for customers and associates; keep equipment in good operating condition.
- Address associate and customer concerns quickly and involve partners when needed.
- Support payroll and associate time‑keeping activities.
- Provide feedback to the Store Manager on associate performance and communicate associate relations issues to the Store Manager for follow‑up.
- Recognize associates using company recognition tools.
- Train and coach associates; perform all other associate duties within the store.
- Excellent customer service with professionalism, positivity, and enthusiasm.
- Ability to develop collaborative working relationships.
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to move with tempo and hold team accountable to meet time‑bound expectations.
- Availability to work nights, weekends, holidays, and shifts outside traditional hours.
- Proficiency with technology for customer interactions (Register, Register Keyboard, iPhone, Calculator).
- Ability to stand or walk around the store for 100% of working time.
- Lifting up to 50 pounds occasionally or frequently.
- Stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl on a frequent basis.
- Minimum 2 years of workforce experience.
- Minimum high school graduate or equivalent.
