Join us to support a dynamic sales operations team, working directly with clients, account executives, and advertisers to ensure seamless advertising campaigns for local businesses.
What you’ll do- Assist the sales team with pre‑sales events, client appointments, and order entry.
- Facilitate and process sales presentations.
- Communicate with advertising agencies and clients regarding make‑goods, preemptions, under‑delivery, and daily contact.
- Generate client campaign reports and interpret results, providing key metrics and recommendations to support client retention.
- Liaise with sales, web production, marketing and analytics to plan and prioritize campaign execution.
- Generate and analyze sales reports, including rating delivery data weekly and adjusting advertising schedules.
- Identify and correct billing errors before month‑end; input billing adjustments promptly.
- Attend sales training and planning meetings.
- Arrange and distribute advertising materials and sales reports to proper locations.
- Provide excellent customer assistance.
- Assist AEs and clients with creative copy, make‑goods and changes.
- Send location information to clients and national reps.
- Produce sales pieces in coordination with National Rep, Firm and Research Director.
- Assist with inventory control and update the weekly rate card.
- Act as paid‑programming liaison with advertisers as necessary.
- Cross‑train on all sales and traffic software applications and sales support positions.
- Handle daily general clerical functions such as filing, answering phones, creating correspondence and calculating rates for customers.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- High‑school diploma or equivalent (required).
- Generally 5+ years of experience in a related field (preferred).
- Strong customer‑service skills.
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret sales demographics information and creative layouts.
- Proficiency in generating reports, business correspondence, and presentations.
- Strong communication skills; responsive to questions from managers, colleagues, and customers.
- Ability to calculate figures related to advertising rate packages.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
- Ability to learn new software such as ad order entry and CRM systems.
- Excellent organizational skills and ability to meet deadlines.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Team‑player mindset; able to work internally and externally.
