Responsible for selling, promoting and specifying Florida Tile products to contractors, builders, dealers, architects, and designers. The Outside Sales Representative also handles all sales merchandising, technical information, customer product knowledge, and evaluates the area’s market needs and business conditions in their territory. They will act as a business consultant to their customers for sales efficiency and market growth.

• Target, call on, and develop relationships with major builders, contractors, dealers, architects, designers and other channels
• Meet & exceed an established sales budget on a monthly basis to meet annual goals
• Set up product displays and modify as appropriate
• Introduce and successfully initiate company programs and new product introductions
• Assess competitors, their product lines and strategies. Compile a library of their product catalogs, spec sheets, etc., and keep the Branch Manager informed of their activity
• Prospect, qualify and establish new customers
• Evaluate product field complaints and resolve them in accordance with company guidelines
• Use and maintain knowledge of SAP
• Notify branch management when samples are low
• Other duties as assigned

• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
• At least three years of direct sales experience
• Bachelor’s degree in business or related discipline preferred
• Computer literacy
• Ability to achieve company goals with little supervision
• Overall analysis of the total and individual markets to set goals, plan and execute market research, forecast sales and establish new markets
• Development, planning and execution of yearly business plan
• Frequent travel within territory required
